Q: What's an MP3?

A: It's a compressed version of a song that you might find on a CD. The compression allows the file size to be much smaller than a regular song from a CD, speeding up download time and reducing the amount of "power" it takes your computer to play them.

Q: How do I use them?

A: Click on the link (in this case, the title of the song) and select the place on your computer you would like to store the file. If you have a player already installed on your computer, simply open the player and browse to the location you stored the song file. Windows 98, NT and ME have a player already installed, called Windows Media Player. All Mac's purchased from around 98 and later also have a player already installed. If you need a player, try searching for "free MP3 player" on your favourite search engine. Another good place to get one is www.mp3.com

Q: How long does it take to download a song?

A: That depends on many things. If you have a 14.4K modem to a 56K modem (phone line), it could take up to 20 minutes. That also depends on how much traffic is on the internet at any given time. If you have high-speed access, it may take only a few minutes.

Q: Is Mike really a super hero?

A: Although he has the strength of ten men, and resembles many of your favourite crime fighters, he refuses to wear tights... in public.
