The World Is Only
Air... (Enhanced CD!)
A fast paced experiment in traditional fiddle
tunes. Well over two years in the making, Mike has done it again...
he's taken the harmonica places in doesn't belong. One listen, though
and you realize it really does belong... it was just waiting for
Mike. Mike called in some of the most versatile players to accompany
him on this true original. A three-time "Gram Award" winner
for "International Instrumentalist," Steve Piticco's guitar
picking is unmatched. Don Reed's fiddle will leave your head spinning.
This CD is enhanced, to include over thirteen minutes of the documentary,
"Harmonica Crossing," along with the fun, no-budget music
video for "Grumbling Old Man, Grumbling Old Woman (on vacation
in Jamaica)." Just pop the cd into your PC or Mac and presto...

Normally
Anomaly
The Mike Stevens Project
"Normally Anomaly is an event
in blues, jazz, hard rock, alternative, really alternative, and
brand new art forms in music he's been dreaming up. It's wildly
innovative, it's not dull and sure isn't tame; I'm exhausted after
listening and it makes me want to yell. Right on Mike"

Harmonica
"Mike Steven's 'Harmonica' reminds me of the
old Columbia recording of Flatt and Scruggs with Doc Watson.
Probably one of the most inspired groupings on record, the ensemble
consisted of Flatt & Scruggs with their fine band, Grady Martin
on guitar and Doc Watson. Into this mix, Columbia added Charlie
McCoy's busy harmonica that simply interfered with the otherwise
excellent string music. Stevens' "Harmonica" neatly reverses
this situation; here, the harmonica leads the band with melody and
force. This recording is categorically excellent."
